The structure of the manifold system within the central oxygen system and the anesthesia system is very similar to each other which include the regulators, controllers, and the one way valves that are connected to both the main and alternative cylinders. When the pressure within the main cylinders decreases to a certain level or if they run completely out of gas per se, the alternative cylinders which are full shall be automatically used within the distribution system; therefore, no complications are caused within the medical gases distribution system. If each of the cylinders is emptied up, the system’s visual and auditory alarm signals shall be activated to inform the personnel of the need to replace the empty cylinders.
