Technically, each hospital, in order to control, turn on or off, and to simply be informed of the gas valves and the pressure level of the medical gases at its key units such as hospitalization units, CCU, ICU, operating rooms, and other units, is in need of control and safety equipment that can be put within the pipelines at any units so that they can control (turn on/off) the gas valves if necessary. This facility has been provided in a product named valve box.
Each valve box consists of one, two, three, or four gas valves and the relevant pipelines which if connected to the gas mainline, one is provided with the ability to control the gas flow. Therefore, the valve box is a necessary compartment within each hospital unit or nurse station in the hospitals that should definitely be incorporated in the design.
There are four types of valve boxes based on the number of medical gases they can monitor:
• One gas
• Two gases
• Three gases
• Four gases
The valve box machine is only in charge of turning on or shutting off the gas valves and the gadgets that have been placed on it exhibit the pressure of the gas flow. That is why in order to alert the personnel in charge in case of pressure decrease, the valve alarm machine shall also be used along with this machine.
