Medical gases alarm system monitors the pressure within the medical gas pipelines and in case of a decrease in pressure in those lines, complications in the way of directing the gases, if the pipeline is completely blocked, the system shall produce visual and auditory signals in order to notify the person in charge or the facility engineering team in the hospital of this matter.
How does the Medical Gases Alarm System Work?
After the machine has been properly installed, the green light shall always remain on. When the pressure for any of the following gases such as Oxygen, compressed air, and Nitrogen Oxide decreases to less than 2 bars and for the vacuum to less than 0.2 bars, or if the flow for any of the aforementioned gases is blocked, the visual alarming signal (the word “Low” will be exhibited in front of the specified gas) and the auditory alarming signal (the siren) shall go off. If you press the silent button, the auditory alarm shall go off for 2.30 to 3 minutes; however, the visual alarm shall remain on till the issue that has been caused by the machine is resolved. If the pressure of any of the gases of Oxygen, compressed air, and Nitrogen Oxide rises to more than 3.8 bars and vacuum to more than 0.2 bars, both auditory and visual alarming signals shall go off. It should be noted that the aforementioned procedure shall be observed in case of all emergency situations.
